BSE SME a step closer to get 200 cos listed by June; 2 more firms join exchange

Mumbai, Mar 21 (KNN) With two more companies listing on the SME exchange of BSE today, the bourse now has 167 companies listed with it.

Jaipur, Rajasthan, based RMC Switchgears Limited and Rohini, Delhi, based  IFL Enterprises Limited joined the exchange today.

RMC Switchgears Ltd is engaged in designing and manufacturing of Enclosures of Energy Meters, LT/ HT Distribution Boxes and Panels etc.

 IFL Enterprises Limited is involved in the business of acquisition, trading of shares, stocks, bonds etc. . It also carries on the business of all kinds of fabrics and other similar products.

Out of 167 companies listed with BSE SME, as many as 24 companies have migrated to main board BSEs and two companies have been suspended. 141 companies are eligible for trading on the exchange.

The total amount of money raised so far through trading in the exchange is Rs 1,292.54 crore while the market capitalization of companies listed has reached Rs 17,140.15 crore.

Meanwhile, BSE is expecting to have 200 companies listed by June on its SME platform. It is an exclusive platform for raising of funds by small and medium enterprises.

"We have got a very good response on SME as in the last five years. we have now got 165 companies listed and at the end of this month, 10 more companies will be listed and another 10 firms later. So, effectively we will have 200 companies listed by June on the BSE SME platform itself," BSE SME Head Ajay Thakur had told reporters earlier this month. (KNN Bureau)
