IMS Jammu holds session on Union Budget 2018

New Delhi, Feb 12 (KNN) Eyeing at exploring the proposals made in the Union Budget, the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Jammu organized a session on the topic ‘Union Budget 2018’ in the campus.

The objective of holding the session was to explain the students the purpose and objective of the union budget presented by the Government of India.

Prof. S.K Gupta, Dean Academics of the College was the Resource Person who discussed in detail the key highlights of the budget and explained in detail the sector viz: Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure, MSMEs, Mega Health Protection Schemes, Education, Aviation Railways, operation green, other social security schemes, employees provident fund including income tax exemptions for service class and senior citizens.

He further shared his expectations that in the coming days there will be improvements in all the areas which will lead to more employment, wage employment and self employment ventures.

He concluded the session by saying that NITI Aayog is going to play a big role in all the schemes which are the on the government’s priority list. (KNN/YV)
