New Delhi, Sept 18 (KNN) Eyeing at providing further window to the small units and enterprises under the Goods and Services Tax in the country, the GST Network has extended two weeks for firms who have earlier missed on the opportunity to sign up for the easy GST scheme.

The deadline has been extended till 30^th September, a release from the GSTN said.

Under the new extended deadline, the small firms can avail the liberal compliance scheme that involves quarterly return filing.  This scheme can be availed by businsses that has annual sales up to 75 lakhs.

The prime benefit of the scheme is that the taxpayers will be allowed to file quarterly returns instead of the monthly returns. (KNN/ DA)
