Govt. launches National Repository of Information for Women - NARI portal

New Delhi, Jan 3 (KNN) Eying at empowering women across the nation, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Minister of Women Child and Development (WCD) launched a new web platform  National Repository of Information for Women- NARI, recently in the national capital.

The portal provides for employment information along with tips for job interview, savings and entrepreneurship. 

Also the newly launched Portal summarizes over 350 Schemes run by both Central & State governments benefitting women under seven different categories- education, health, employment, housing and shelter, addressing violence, decision making and social support.

It also provides links to Ministries, Departments, and autonomous bodies offering these schemes and easy access to online applications and grievance redressal.

Another highlight of the occasion was the launch of e-SAMVAD portal though which NGOs and civil society can add their feedback, suggestions, grievances etc. which will be monitored by senior officers within the Ministry for implementing effective policies and measures.

On the launch event, WCD Minister informed that with the new portal in place, the government aims to equip the women in the country with the right information required in order to stay up to date.

Also through the tabs that help with knowledge regarding skilling and awareness, it will further help the country realize its dream of women empowerment, she added. (KNN/MG)
