PM Modi greets nation for 2018, stresses on need to work towards skilling youth for New India

New Delhi, Jan 1 (KNN) Greeting the nation for the New Year 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly address Mann ki Baat highlighted the need to have an skilled youth force that could help realise the dream of New India.

“I consider them ‘New India Youth’, ‘New India Youth’ stands for aspirations, enthusiasm and energy. I firmly believe that the dream of our ‘New India’ will be realized through the skill & fortitude of these energetic youth”, the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi further highlighted the need to move towards a more transparent, corruption free country that could provide equal opportunity for all.

Commenting over the significance of skilling and entrepreneurship among the youth, PM Modi said that the young population need to be made aware of the schemes and opportunities available to them.

“Today, a lot of new opportunities have been created for the youth. Our youth are coming forward in areas like skill development, innovation and entrepreneurship and are achieving success. I wish that the New India Youth get information and details of all these new opportunities and plans at one place and a system be created so that every young person on turning 18 should automatically get to know all this and benefit from it”, the Prime Minister said.

Also President of India, Ram Nath Kovind greeted the nation on the eve of the New Year 2018. 

"New Year is a time for reflection, for resolutions and for renewal. As 2018 dawns, let us all commit ourselves to a happier and wholesome period ahead – to strengthening the bonds that unite all of us as Indians, the President said.
