Israel and Gujarat firms keen to collaborate to develop technological platform

New Delhi, Jan 16 (KNN) In a bid to collaborate to form business-to-business relations between Gujarat and Israel companies to develop sound technological platforms, a seminar was held at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) by Israel-based firms.

Israel officials are looking forward for setting up of academy for security training around Gujarat, revealed Skornik Tal, Managing Director, Skornik Tal Ltd.

The focus of the seminar was on technology collaboration in various sectors such as fire fighting technology for industrial units, medical devices, port security etc.

GCCI recently collaborated with Gujarat University for defence-related research for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and team will further look for R&D opportunities in the state, GCCI informed.

Industry experts stressed on collaboration possibilities between Gujarat and Israel in defence sector.

Discussions were aligned toward B2B alliance on technology front and chances of joint venture with Indian firm for manufacturing medical and assistive devices, as reported in a seminar.

Gujarat is the biggest cotton producing state in India, and with use of Israeli technology yield and quality can be further improved, said Shailesh Patwari, President, GCCI.

Sectors such as medical and assistive devices, firefighting technology for industrial units, port security training, smart city projects, waste water treatment and cyber security will be key sectors for collaboration between Gujarat and Israel. (KNN/MG)
