In a first, university students set up online portal for SMEs in Iran

New Delhi, Jan 5 (KNN) Eyeing at helping the small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country, Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) has come up an online portal that offers business counseling and training to the SME entrepreneurs.

Over 400 specialist and 100 Industrial consultation, the portal addresses at training and providing professional advices to young entrepreneurs which can reach through the online portal icpt.ir.

This website aims at providing educational courses, expert’s consultation, organizing specialized meetings and helps in diagnosing bottlenecks in industrial units.

Also the Institution launched business advice portal ‘Business clinic’ last month to cater SMEs’ queries in legal and financial segment.

AUT (also Tehran Polytechnic) is a public research university in capital city of Iran, founded in 1928. University is leading in E-learning systems and pioneer of sustainable development in Iran.

Of the total industrial sector in Iran, there are over 82,810 small and about 7,707 medium sized and large enterprises in Iran, according to a report by Central Bank of Iran.

The report further informed that the contribution of SMEs to the cumulative industrial sector is over 94 per cent. (KNN/MG)
