Ludhiana, July 6 (KNN) A delegation of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisation (FICO), has gone to Friedrichshafen, Germany, to attend Eurobike 2018.

Eurobike 2018, to be held from July 8-10, is world`s leading trade fair for the cycling industry. The Eurobike is an important industry meeting for all market participants in the bicycle industry from Asia, America and Europe. 

The delegation from Punjab has been led by Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, General Secretary, FICO.

Sachdeva will represent India in the bike Europe conference along with Erhard Buechel, President, World Bicycle Industries Association, and Mirko Junghanel, President Confederation of European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI), for the future of bicycle industry.

Citizen Buechel Biketech Private Limited will be displaying its products in the EUROBIKE 2018.

The vision behind taking the delegation is to encourage industrialists from Ludhiana to upgrade their technology in order to compete at national and international level.

This trade fair will also help in developing the same market in India and to target the Europe market to increase the export from India.

“Growth in Indian export will garner more revenue to reduce the trade deficit and improve the balance of payment position of our country. Further, this will generate the employment in India and for the first time, Indian industrialists will visit and experience the European market," said Gurmeet Singh Kular, president, FICO.

Kular congratulated Sachdeva for the achievement and said FICO will try and make at least 10 MSME units to participate in EUROBIKE 2018.
