China’s re-emergence as a super economic power concern for global economy: Expert

New Delhi, Mar 19 (KNN) In a recent three day International Conference on Indian Trade and Commerce, Head and Dean of Business Economics of Delhi University Prof Dr Vijay Kumar Kaul shared his serious concerns related to global trade environment.

He said China’s re-emergence as a strong economic power both in political and economic terms on the global level is a major threat to global trade environment; therefore India needs a vigilant eye and strong maritime trade in order to compete with China.

Speaking at the session on “The New Dynamics of Global Business” Kaul mentioned that the global business sets the agenda not only for global economy but also of global governance.

He further said that the dynamics of global business reshapes the different kinds of institutions of human life be it Political, cultural, social and economic.

Praising the rich culture and maritime heritage of Kalinga, former Professor of Pokhara University, Nepal Dr Radheshyam Pradhan laid emphasis on cultural interaction among the SAARC countries to boost global trade environment.

He said in order to nurture and foster skills of youth and make rural economy strong enough to face challenges, East India needs to promote and support startups.

Presentations of more than 70 papers have been shown in the technical sessions by the research scholars across the SAARC countries including Nepal, Bhutan, Sri-Lanka and Bangladesh.

Among others, director of Indo-Tibetian Studies of Visva-Bharati University Prof Andrea Loseries, head of Islamic history and culture department of Rajshahi University in Bangladesh Prof Dr Khaililur Rahman, member of ICHR, New Delhi Prof Narayan Rao, former VC of Kalyani University, West Bengal Prof Dr Malayendu Saha and director of IMS and conference convenor Prof Upendra Padhi also spoke.

The three-day conference organized by Institute of Media Studies (IMS) and was inaugurated by the Minister of MSME Prafulla Samal and MP Lok Sabha Bhartruhari Mahtab. (With inputs from a media report) (KNN/YV)
