IIM Indore to train SMEs on innovation management

New Delhi, Apr 24 (KNN) Indian Institute of Management - Indore recently launched a training program in Innovation Management aimed specifically towards the SMEs in the country.

The program is designed in collaboration with experts from India and Germany, under the initiative of IIM Indore, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation. The program is being implemented by Deutsche Gasellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The 7 day program spreads over 6 weeks and includes 5 day training followed by a 4 week implementation break for the participants to implement their learning. The program concludes with a 2 day finishing school.

Highlighting the need to innovate the processes in SMEs, the program addresses the problem of technological obsolescence that prevails in the industry.

Talking about the need to innovate, the organizers emphasized that the SMEs play a pivotal role in driving economic development of the nation and offers employment to a large section of the economy. Therefore it is imperative for the SMEs to continue to innovate.

The program commences on 24th April and spreads till May 31st  at the IIM campus in Indore. (KNN/ DA)
