Indian SMEs keen on adopting Hybrid Cloud Solutions: Microsoft

New Delhi, Aug 24 (KNN) The Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the country are keen on adopting hybrid Cloud setup with an aim to cut down managerial costs, a report by Microsoft revealed.

The report suggests that the SMEs are increasingly dependent on hybrid Cloud solutions for their enterprises aiming at cost savings between 5 percent and 30 per cent .

According to the report over 40 percent of the sample number of SMEs have already executed or are in the process of executing a hybrid Cloud infrastructure to transform their existing IT infrastructure.

The report says that the prime reasoj for this could be the fact that Cloud computing allowed fair opportunity to improve Return on Investment (RoI), develop innovative solutions and respond rapidly to changing business demands.

The data further says that over 52 per cent of the SMEs feel that adopting hybrid Cloud solutions helps lowering total cost of ownership . Also over 42 per cent of the SME respondents are of the view that it helps facilitating innovation.

Other reasons for the increasing use of the cloud infra included better customer manufacturer connectivity as well as simplified business practices.

The report highlighted the need to facilitate employees within the organisation to familiarise themselves with the new business processes and governance structures.

Different government initiatives in the aftermath of demonization and also with the introduction of this Goods and Services tax in the country, there has been a boost to the overall digital dependency, the report added.
