Bank of India launches “Ghar Ghar Dastak” initiative to connect to customers-MSMEs

New Delhi, Apr 20 (KNN) With the launch of innovative consumer connect program known as “Ghar Ghar Dastak”, the bank of India has been generating more business leads under RAM (Retail, Agriculture and MSMEs) schemes.

This program is being organized every month to enhance the scope of mobile and digital banking across all branches of the bank.

Detailing the objective of the GGD program, Dinabandhu Mohapatra, MD & CEO, Bank of India, said that the GGD program is organized monthly to speed up CASA, NPA (Non-Performing Assets) recovery and additional credit disbursement.

Further the program has been successful in creating connections with the customers whether small or large to understand their needs and address them properly, he added.

In implementing the concept of digital village, he said that Bank of India is one of the leading banks that have converted 325 villages into digital banking practices. With this program, banks would be able to expand the network of chains through engagements with customers.

Connecting 10.31 lakh customers, the state owned bank, Bank of India has organized “Ghar Ghar Dastak” Program at 5126 branches.

With the help of this program, the credit disbursement of banks has been increased by over 52% to Rs 61,445 crore mainly in retail, agriculture and MSMEs sectors while reducing the corporate advances.

The bank’s technology initiative known as “Star Mahashakti” has also got popularized with this program.

Star Mahashakti has been launched with the objective of spreading technology capabilities to next level and also to implement an OTS (One Time Settlement) scheme called “Mission Samadhan” for quick resolution of NPAs.

Ghar Ghar Dastak (door to door) is a campaign under which the entire bank staff including top officials of the bank approach and meet existing as well as prospective customers soliciting further business from them. (KNN/YV)
