CODISSIA to take up measures to facilitate MSME sector, appeals centre for single window clearance for MSMEs
New Delhi, July 7 (KNN) The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) is all set to bring new measures to facilitate MSME sector of the district.
In this effect, CODISSIA has appealed to the Centre to implement the Small Factories Act at the earliest and effective single window clearance for all approvals for MSMEs.
The above decisions were made during the 49th annual general meeting of CODISSIA, where a new team of office bearers were also elected.
R Ramamurthy and P S Devaraj has been elected as president and secretary respectively while R Sasidaran was chosen as treasurer according to the shared release.
The association sought steps for effective single window clearance for all approvals for MSMEs including clearance for land conversion and in a stipulated period of 30 days.
Further to boost MSMEs in defence, the association said that a committee should be formed by the Centre to regulate the 20 per cent compulsory purchase obligation of PSUs, Defence and Railways from MSME units.
The association also sought for subsidies for the expansion and modernization of the sector.
Besides, it also wanted the government to support units in marketing assistance to participate in national and international trade fairs, both as participants and visitors.
Skill development centres all over India should be set up to help MSMEs to absorb sufficient manpower with required skills, the association said.
The association also sought setting up of a well-defined facilitation council with judicial powers to solve the issue of non-payment of dues to MSME units.
