New Delhi, Nov 14 (KNN) The Indian credit rating agency CRISIL and Small Industries Development Bank Of India (SIDBI) have partnered to launch a sentiment index for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) .The index, named as CriSidEx  will capture sentiment on various business parameters such as the business situation, capacity utilisation, order book and margins.

CRISIL M.D and CEO, Ashu Suyash in a press interview said that the index would gather real-time, ground-level information directly from the MSMEs and reflect the business predicament and tidings of the MSME sector.

SIDBI's Chairman and Managing Director, Mohammad Mustafa, said that the index would allow stake-holders, especially policy makers, to take timely, even proactive steps, including those based on early warnings thrown up by the survey.

For the sample of index survey 1000 MSMEs will be selected every quarter  on the basis of size, geography ,nature of business and across different legal entities and the structured questionnaire methodology will be used in the survey to ensure consistency and minimum possible deviations.
