DC-MSME gives grace period of 3 months for eligible claims to be made under CLCS Scheme
New Delhi, Mar 28 (KNN) The Office of the Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, has given a grace period of three months for eligible claims to be made under CLCS Scheme.
In a letter to the Nodal Banks and Agencies under CLCSS, DC-MSME said, “it to clarify that eligible claims under CLCS Scheme with reference date up to 31st March 2017 is permitted as per existing guidelines.”
The Primary Lending Institution (PLI Level-1) should submit the eligible claims (with reference date up to 31-03-2017) in the online application and tracking system up to 30 June 2017, the letter added.
The grace period already provided to the Nodal banks / Agencies (Level-2) will remain unchanged. This, however issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
Earlier this month, O P Singh, Deputy Director, CLCSS had said, “the CLCS Scheme is presently in operation upto 31.03.2017, no application will be accepted in online application and tracking system beyond 31st March, 2017 at PLI level (Level-1) till further orders.
The decision on continuation of the CLCs scheme beyond March 31 2017 will be communicated to the nodal banks / agencies, as soon as the approval of the Competent Authority in this regard is obtained.
Till the decision on continuation of the CLCS scheme is communicated, all the nodal banks / agencies should advise their PUs to submit the online application claims filed by PUs upto 31st March, 2017 within the grace period already provided to them.
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is operating a scheme namely “Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) for technology upgradation of Micro and Small Enterprises. The scheme was launched in October-2000 and revised from 29.9.2005.
The revised scheme aims at facilitating technology upgradation of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) by providing 15% capital subsidy (limited to maximum Rs.15 lakhs) for purchase of Plant & Machinery. Maximum limit of eligible loan for calculation of subsidy under the scheme is Rs.100 lakhs. Presently, more than 1500 well established/improved technologies under 51 sub-sectors have been approved under the Scheme. (KNN Bureau)
