India will hold session on opportunities in MSME sector at World Economic Forum: Prabhu

New Delhi, Jan 10 (KNN) The Indian delegation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to hold session on opportunities of investments in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector at the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu informed.

Responding to KNN during the press conference, the Minister said that the agenda for India is to strengthen its position in the global value chain and the session with regard to the MSME sector is essential for the same.

Prabhu further informed that India being a favorable destination for startups,the entire world is looking at the country to start their businesses in India.

Also during the interaction Prabhu informed that India will be offering the global investors entry to the country via Invest India organization, a window that helps new businesses with both technical as well as cultural nuances.

Indian delegation to Davos is to include top ministers including Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister, Suresh Prabhu, Commerce & Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal, Rail and Coal Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, Petroleum and Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, In-charge Minister of Ministry of DONER and Minister of State of PMO and M. J. Akbar, Minister of State for External Affairs.

Also Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu along with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis are likely to participate in the Annual Meeting 2018.

The Ministers will represent India in around 25 sessions organized on Next Generation Industrial Strategies, Infrastructure acceleration, Fourth Industrial Revolution, Future of employment. (KNN/DA)
