MSME Minister Giriraj Singh visits MSME units in Sikkim; suggests agri-cluster

New Delhi, Apr 26 (KNN) In a bid to promote and support MSMEs in Sikkim, the Union Minster of State for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh (Independent Charge) visited various small and micro enterprises there including water bakery, Indian Council for Agricultural Research and few more.

During his visit to Indian Council for Agriculture Research, the Minster urged the institution to help and support farmers and agricultural enterprises in their region and suggested an agri-cluster to improve farmer’s income.

Further the Minister spoke about the new scheme under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program for upgrading technology.

Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, he said that under this scheme the SMEs can take benefit of this scheme as there is a provision of Rs 15 lakhs subsidy.

Along with that, this scheme provides a sum of Rs 1 crore as a loan to the SMEs, he added.

He assured all help and support to Sikkim MSMEs. (KNN/YV)
