MSME Ministry organizes SC-ST Hub Conclave in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 20 (KNN) Eyeing at handholding the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region of entrepreneurs belonging to the SC-ST community, NSIC under the MSME Ministry recently organized the SC-ST hub conclave in Hyderabad.

The program was organized to facilitate a common platform for the different stakeholders including CPSEs, Industry Associations and State Government. MSME Minister Giriraj Singh informed about the program in a tweet from the official twitter handle.

Singh tweeted that the MSME Ministry held the SC-ST Conclave to create awareness among the SC/ST entrepreneurs about the various schemes implemented by the MSME Ministry.

The programme comes as a part of the series of events being conducted by the MSME Ministry to generate awareness.

The programme aims at coalescing efforts taken by all the stakeholders towards creating a supportive ecosystem for inclusive growth of SC-ST Entrepreneurs.

The programme also aims to hold interactions with industry associations and incubators to understand their expectations about NSSH programme while also on-boarding them to play a larger role.

The event was organized along the lines of the Public Procurement Policy, 2012 that mandated 4 per cent of total procurement of goods and services made by Central Ministries and CPSEs to be from Micro and Small Enterprises owned by SC & ST entrepreneurs.

National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) was launched by Prime Minister Modi with an aim to achieve the mandate under the Public Procurement Policy. (KNN/ DA)
