New Delhi, Mar 9 (KNN) Aspiring Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) entrepreneurs should come forth and avail the various schemes and portals rolled out by the Ministry, MSME Secretary Arun Kumar Panda said recently.

Addressing a seminar International Trade Fair on “Credit and Marketing Linkage to MSMEs and Exporters” that held on March 7, MSME Union Secretary Arun Kumar Panda praised the Central Tool Room Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar’s facility that manufactured and supplied several parts of the Mangalyaan (Orbital Mission to Mars) by consortium of MSMEs and said it is one of the best in the country.

Speaking at the occasion he informed the audience that more than one crore business units have been registered under GST and out of which 97% are MSMEs.

He said registering under GST, MSMEs automatically get converted into formal sector from informal sector and will avail credit facilities from the formal financial institutions easily.

Talking about the various cluster development including MSE-CDP and SFURTI Panda said MSME can avail benefits of these schemes and portals easily through a digital platform.

Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department Odisha LN Gupta stated that for improved facility and better technology for the MSME,  54 clusters have been identified in the State, which can be assisted under MSE-CDP Scheme of the Government .

He said that nearly 40,300 MSME units have ‘gone into production’ (GIP) in the State during the current FY employing 115,000 persons.

With a view to improve quality of MSME products and their marketing, he said ZED (Zero Effect and Zero Defect) has been launched in collaboration with quality council of India and GeM (Government e-market place). (KNN/YV)
