Online portal for registration of Khadi institutions will promote ease of doing biz for MSMEs: KVIC
New Delhi, Oct 3 (KNN) To promote ease of doing business, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has launched a portal for registration and certification of new khadi institutions. KVIC said the portal will help in promoting ease of business for MSME units.
The online process will now reduce the time to just 40 days instead of up to 3 years earlier for registration and certification of new khadi institutions.
Also, the old 16-page application form has been reduced to just one.
The online portal "Khadi Institution Registration and Certification Sewa" (KRICS) was launched by Union Minister for MSME Kalraj Mishra at Khadi India outlet here on Sunday.
Besides Mishra, Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Minister of State for Home, Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary was also present on the occasion.
KVIC Chairman V K Saxena said the online registration of new khadi institution is necessary to plan, promote, facilitate, organise and assist in the establishment and development of khadi and village industries in rural areas.
He said the portal will help in promoting ease of business for MSME units.
New institutions would be able get their registration and certification within 40 days, after uploading the required documents, Saxena said.
Earlier this exercise was taking more than 3 years. (KNN Bureau)
