Ministry of Steel to hold brainstorming session, re-aligning of policies to address challenges on the agenda

New Delhi, Oct 16 (KNN) Eyeing at enabling equal measure by the Government of India, to provide a level playing field and enabling growth environment for the steel industry, the Steel Ministry is to hold talks with the different stakeholders of the sector later today.

In the second session of this sort, the Steel Minister Birender Singh along with other officials from the Ministry are to meet key stakeholders including officials from PSU’s in Chandigarh.

The Ministry in a press statement said that the government is aware of the challenges faced by the sector due to different reasons including rapid technological changes, changing economic scenario and increased competition, and the brainstorming sessions are to prove instrumental in addressing these issues.

The statement further said that government’s vision of ‘New India-2022’, is to focus on realigning their working style and priorities through various initiatives and policy changes, for which such discussions are being organized.

A similar day long brainstorming session was organized earlier in Surajkund, this meeting comes with a gap of two months from the first meeting. (KNN/DA)
