New Delhi, Apr 18 (KNN) In a bid to promote Khadi and Khadi made products among the students, Delhi University Students’ Association (DUSU) and Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is organizing a Khadi Sangam Program at Talkatora Stadium from 25 to 26 April.

For the very first time DUSU is organizing this kind of event where students ramp walk in Khadi made dresses and outfits.

This is going to be incredible fashion show on grand level to promote Khadi, said DUSU chief Mahameda Nagar.

The aim of the Program is to create and develop interest among the students for Khadi Garments.

To participate in this program, students have to register themselves.

Through the medium of this show, khadi ambassador will be selected and also workshops related to Khadi sector will also be organized in the event.

Also cash prizes will be awarded to First, Second and Third Winner of the show.

The first runner-up of the show will be awarded with the cash prize of Rs 50 thousand, the second runner-up will get the amount of Rs 25 thousand and the third runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 15 thousand.

 Other contests will include drawings related to Khadi, and for this 50 thousand to 15 thousand prizes will be given. 

The quiz, poster slogan competitions will also be held during the event.

The special part of this show is that the careers related to Khadi areas will also be discussed during the event.

Khadi weavers are also invited for this event.

The last date of registration is April 18, 2018 and along with DU students, students of fashion institutions and other universities can also participate in this event. (KNN/YV)
