MOFPI seeks applications for investment in food processing sector under CEFPPC Scheme

New Delhi, Aug 2 (KNN) Opening opportunities for entrepreneurs in foods processing sector to investment, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) has invited proposals for setting up 250 units for creation of processing and preservation capacities and modernization of existing units.

The proposals have been invited under the Government of India’s scheme for Creation/ Expansion of Food Processing/ Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC) of Kisan Sampada Yojana.

The scheme envisages setting up of 250 units for creation of processing and preservation capacities and modernization/ expansion of existing food processing units which will help in increasing the level of processing, value addition and thereby lead to reduction of agri-wastage. MOFPI has sought for proposals, which can be submitted online, by potential investors/ promoters willing to set up food processing industry.

MOFPI said preference will be given to units in Mega Food Parks sanctioned by it.

The last date for submitting proposal, as per the guidelines of the Scheme for CEFPPC, is September 15, 2017 till 18:00 hrs.

In this regard, pre-submission meeting for applicants will be held on August 22-23, 2017. (KNN Bureau)
