New Delhi, Sept 16 (KNN) Just in line with the textile sector, the Ministry of Food Processing Industry (MOFPI) is willing to formulate a special package for the food processing sector too.

In this regard, a meeting was recently held in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Commerce Secretary, Agriculture Secretary and the Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation was made by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) on value added products having potential for higher exports to developing countries and least developed countries (LDCs).

Cabinet had earlier this year approved a special package for the Textile sector focusing at employment generation and promotion of exports. (KNN Bureau)
