New Delhi, Sept 27 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating awareness among the Medium and Small Enterprises of the region, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) recently conducted a day long Special Vendor Development Program for SC and ST entrepreneurs.

The branch office organized the program in collaboration with Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Tamil Nadu.

The main focus of the program was to impart knowledge of the different NSIC Schemes.

Also sessions focussing on different themes including Public Procurement Policy, vendor registration procedure of BHEL, HAPP, Southern railway (GOLDERN ROCK), were conducted.

The entrepreneurs were also trained on obtaining UAM Registration as well as registering themselves on the MSME database.

During the inaugural session of the workshop, Vidya Sagar Singh, General Manager, South III , Chennai, NSIC informed about the various programs and schemes that his office offers.

Different industry bodies including DICCI, Tiruchirappalli District Tiny & Small Scale Industries Association, Trichy (TDTSSIA) as well as officials from BHEL and HAPP Trichy were a part of the event.

Addressing the entrepreneurs, DarmaLingam DGM, BHEL explained the about vendor registration procedure Of Bharath Heavy Electrical limited (BHEL). He also distributed the required application forms to the participating medium and small enterprises during the event. (KNN/ DA)
