PHD chamber launches “Ambassador’s Club” to diversify economic cooperation

New Delhi, Nov 21 (KNN) The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday launched the Ambassadors’ Club, an open ended discussion forum. The club aims to promote expansion and diversification of trade and economic cooperation between India and other countries.

Former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs and Ambassador, Krishna V Rajan is going to be the convener of the club. On becoming the convener ,he said that the club would assist modernisation and expansion of India’s MSME(Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector, facilitating visits by business delegations to other countries thereby increasing businesses between small and medium enterprises in between India and other  countries.

Senior Vice-President, PHD Chamber, Rajeev Talwar said that the club would be an informal think-tank for the business communities and facilitate the interaction with key Embassies and their governments as well as identify new technologies, approaches, and partnership arrangements relevant to India’s ambitious economic journey.

He added that the main objective of the Ambasador’s club is to address potential for expanding trade and investment opportunities by utilizing insights, expertise and local knowledge of foreign diplomats as well as retired and serving Indian diplomats, interacting with business entities under one roof.
