Technology up-gradation scheme will help MSMEs in upgrading, replacing old techniques & equipments: Director, MSME-DI
New Delhi, June 14 (KNN) The technology up-gradation scheme for the MSME sector will help the entrepreneurs to upgrade or replace old equipment, said PV Velayudhan, Director, MSME Development Institute.
The said funding is subsidized by the government but unfortunately, entrepreneurs in MSME sector in Kerala are not taking it seriously.
He made the above remarks at one-day program on productivity improvements in MSME through energy conservation, organized jointly by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and Energy Management Centre (EMC) with Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) as knowledge partners at Kochi.
Stating the need to take necessary steps to boost MSME productivity, he said serious steps are to be taken to cut down the cost of energy spending and the government has come out with various programs in this regard.
There are various ways to enhance productivity and to increase profit and if expenditure is reduced, that it-self will improve productivity of the industry, he added.
