Govt Order related to new industrial policy in UP to be released shortly: UP Industry Minister

Lucknow, Sept 19 (KNN) The Government Order related to the new industrial policy in Uttar Pradesh is almost ready and will be released shortly so that the compliance of government's announcements in the industrial policy will be ensured, said Satish Mehana, Industry Minister, Uttar Pradesh.

Indian Industries Association (IIA) had organized a biggest industrial submit in Lucknow after the formation of new government in the state. About 150 industrialists from different districts of Uttar Pradesh participated in this seminar.

Mehrana while addressing a gathering of UP industrialists from across the state said government will stop extortion from Industrialists in UP.

At present government has inherited a bad industrial environment and I salute the entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh who have kept their industries alive even in odd situation, said.

The Minister assured the industrialists of the state that the industrial environment will be made cognial by the present government, which will not only increase the growth of industries located in the state but also increase investment from outside the state.

“I am aware that some anti-social elements are indulging in extortions from the entrepreneurs of the state; such elements will be exercised with power so that entrepreneurs can contribute to the progress of their own and the state without any fear,” Mehrana said.

The National President of IIA, Sunil Vaish, raised key issues related to the status of industrial development, the status of small scale industries and industrial development in UP and gave suggestions to the Minister on behalf of the industry.

Vaish said that although Uttar Pradesh is the second largest economy in the country after Maharashtra yet the growth rate of industrial growth in the last 30 years has not been satisfactory in the state.

Vaish suggested speeding up industrial development in the state, to strengthen the Udyog Bandhu for quick solutions to the problems of entrepreneurs, provide adequate land for setting up industries, to promote “Make in UP” the Government Department should give preference in their purchase to goods manufactured in the state, Made in UP exhibitions should be organized and sick industries should be revived.
