New Delhi, Nov 18 (KNN) In a bid to handhold the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the state, the state government will be holding MUDRA Mela in Imphal, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of the state Y.  Joykumar informed.

 The Mela is being organized with an aim to assist the small scale entrepreneurs in different sectors including poultry, handlooms and textiles, the Minister said.

He informed about the upcoming event during the inaugural event of 21st Manipur Rural Bank branch at Naoremthong, Imphal.

The MUDRA scheme under SIDBI offers loans to SMEs and MSMEs to set up their businesses. The MUDRA banks were set up under the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana scheme. It was done to provide its services to small entrepreneurs outside the service area of regular banks, by using last mile agents. (KNN/DA)
