National SC-ST hub office to organize regional MSME conclave in Coimbatore

New Delhi, Dec 15 (KNN) In an attempt to handhold the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region and belonging to the SC-ST community, NSIC under the MSME Ministry is organizing NSSH Regional Conclave On 18.12.2017 at Hall E2, Codissia trade fair complex in Coimbatore.

The event is scheduled on 18.12.2017 from 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM a release from NSIC informed.

The program is expected to bring together CPSEs, Industry Associations and State Government on a common platform and deliberate upon steps to be taken to fulfil Public Procurement Policy mandate for SC-ST entrepreneurs.

The programme aims at coalescing efforts taken by all the stakeholders towards creating a supportive ecosystem for inclusive growth of SC-ST Entrepreneurs. The programme also aims to hold interactions with industry associations and incubators to understand their expectations about NSSH programme while also on-boarding them to play a larger role.

The Government of India has formulated Public Procurement Policy, 2012 which states that 4 per cent of total procurement of goods and services made by Central Ministries and CPSEs shall be from Micro and Small Enterprises owned by SC & ST entrepreneurs, the conclave is being held along those lines.

National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) was launched by Prime Minister Modi with an aim to achieve the mandate under the Public Procurement Policy. (KNN/ DA)
