Odisha CSR forum discusses MSME hand-holding as a part of the CSR activities

New Delhi, Nov 20 (KNN) The Odisha CSR Forum organized a seminar Inclusive Growth of Odisha: Prospects, Challenges and Strategy’ on Saturday. The proceedings of the seminar included finding ways to include Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) hand-holding as a part of the CSR activities.

Addressing the seminar, Secretary of Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Dr. Sobhan Kumar Pattanayak emphasized on the promotion of millets cultivation to reduce dependence on paddy cultivation which needs more water.

Commenting about the deliberations of the Seminar, Nalco CMD Dr Tapan Kumar Chand stated that the MSMEs are good employment creators and the companies should handhold the MSMEs for their growth which would be a bigger CSR.

Prof Deepak Kumar Mishra, Centre for Studies of Regional Development, JNU, New Delhi, Prof Srijit Mishra, Director, NCDS, Bhubaneswar also participated and discussed various issues related to development of the State. (KNN/AG)
