Punjab MSMEs urge govt for reduced power tariff

Ludhiana, May 19 (KNN) Urging to reduce  power tariff for MSMEs in Punjab, a delegation of the United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) met Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab, to discuss various issues of the industry.

The delegation was assured that the government would provide electricity at Rs 4.95 per unit to MSMEs.

He expressed his inability to end the fix charges which the industrialists are currently paying.

The delegation included Avtar Singh Bhogal, Manjit Singh Khalsa, Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma (former president of the UCPMA), Inderjit Singh Navyug (president of the UCPMA), Rajeev Jain (Gen Secretary), Dr KB Thakur (AICMA), Rajinder Singh Sarhali, Harimohinder Singh Pahwa, Kulwant Singh-NKH, and Paramdeep Singh.
