New Delhi, Aug 20 (KNN) Eyeing at assisting the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, industry body Bari Brahmana Industries Association organized a GST workshop for the sector.

With almost 2 months into the new tax regime, the prime focus of the seminar was to educate the entrepreneurs on the various provisions of the new taxation. It also provided information on the filings of returns under the GST.

The Seminar also explored other various dimensions of the GST including Reverse Credit Mechanism and other compliances.  Also there were sessions to explain the single taxation system i.e. One Nation One Tax, Reduction in cascading effect of tax on the tax payer as well as to consumer and the benefits of new tax regime.

MSME representatives as well as key government officials including Bipin Jadhav, Assistant Commissioner, GST, Jammu, H.S. Brar, Superintendent GST,  Ram Parkash, Superintendent GST were present at the event. (KNN/ DA)
