MSME-DI to hold 2-Day National Vendor Development Program in Guwahati

New Delhi, Feb 13 (KNN) Eyeing at handholding the Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the northeast region, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute will hold a 2-day National Vendor Development Program cum MSME Expo, starting on Friday.

The event is being organised in association with the state's department of industries and commerce and FINER on the premises of Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd in Bamunimaidam.

Also the event is being co-sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India and SBI.

MSME-DI through its Guwahati office covers the MSMEs including Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. It monitors implementation of policies and various schemes of the Union ministry of MSME besides providing techno-managerial support to the existing as well as prospective entrepreneurs, state government departments, banks and financial institutions.

Commenting on the upcoming event, FINER President, Pabitra Buragohain informed that the prime objective of the programme is to provide a common platform to MSMEs and public sector undertakings (PSUs) to interact and share knowledge.

In the expo, the micro, small and medium enterprises will feature their products as well as their competency and efficiency at the same time the big companies will get a chance to absorb their services and products.(KNN/DA)
