Mysuru, Mar 31 (KNN) The Mysuru MSMEs have hailed the power tariff revision of 30 paise per unit done by Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) against the proposed Rs 1.2 by discoms.

In a statement, the Mysore Industries Association (MIA) President P Vishwanath and General Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain welcomed the orders of KERC of balanced power tariff revision of 15 paise per unit to 30 paise per unit as against the submission of electricity supply companies including CESC for Rs1.2 increase.

In February this year, MIA apprised the Chairman of KERC M.K. Shankarlingegowda about the impact of power tariff hike on the MSMEs and had also proposed the Commission to permit CESC to hike only 20 paise per unit to bridge the gap of purchase and sales including other expenditures.

Order also continued all concessions and support schemes provided for sick industries in the earlier orders. (KNN Bureau)
