Upcoming Investors Summit to help make UP business friendly: Dinesh Sharma

Lucknow, Feb 17 (KNN) Through the Uttar Pradesh investors summit, the UP government has taken a major move of reinventing the ease of doing business in state in the direction of attracting investment in Uttar Pradesh and making it an ideal destination of investment said Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister.

He further said that since Uttar Pradesh was not considered as the business friendly state for investments as crime and corruption were always on the top list of UP so various steps and measures had been taken by BJP government to revive the economy like “Zero tolerance towards crime and corruption” and to make the environment feasible for attracting investments.

Sharma informed that the government has formulated industrial policy in order to attract investment after reviewing the state policies of various states.

To make this investors summit a big success various awareness programs conducted by government like roadshows to attract investment from states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

The focus of the summit will be on the key sectors like farming, dairy, information technology, civil aviation, tourism, electronics, MSME, and renewable energy that will get investment, apart from that sectors like logistics, textiles and garments will also get investment.

The goal is to create 10 lakh jobs in next five years and to develop under-developed regions of the state he added.

Further commenting on the summit he said that the government has high hopes from the summit and in the coming years UP will also be counted as an engine of growth for the country.

All support from the state government will be provided to make the environment conducive for setting up the industries, he added. (KNN/YV)
