New Delhi, Nov 21 (KNN) This year the 21st ICSME (International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprise) on 'Achieving Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization by Promoting SMEs is being organized by WASME(World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises)on 30 and 31 November at New Delhi.

The event aims to promote SME development initiatives by integrating them with the United Nation's 2030 agenda of achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce and Industry, India, Mr. Soomilduth Bholah, Hon'ble Minister of Business, Enterprise & Cooperatives, Mauritius, and Mr. Amir Hossain Amu, Hon'ble Minister, Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh will be Guests of Honour at the event.

Enlightening on the event Gyan Prakash Agarwal, Secretary General, WASME said that the this event has been closely aligned to the United Nation's 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and would focus on how SMEs could achieve inclusive and sustainable industrialization, while enabling socio-economic prosperity.

Over 350 participants are expected to attend the two day conference. The event will provide platform for participants to network and strengthen their business contracts. The event will bring together key stakeholders from diverse organizations under one roof to engage in meaningful deliberation on SMEs.

The topics related to sound financial strategies; integration of SMEs in the global value chain; challenges and opportunities; international standards; and adoption of industrial policies and global competitiveness will be discussed during the conference. (KNN/AG)
