The portal will be rolled out at the National MSME Conclave (Udyam Sangam) that to be organized by the Ministry of MSME on June 27, on the occasion of UN MSME day.

The portal will work both as a platform for getting right opportunity and finding right talent for the stakeholders in the sector, said Arun Kumar Panda, MSME Secretary.

He said, “So far we have 4.40 lakh people registered with the portal, which includes people trained at out 18 technology centers.”

Besides, the government claims to have encouraging response from the job providers.

Detailing the facts, Panda said at present we have about 2,400 companies registered with portal.

One is formally launched, we expect this number to go up considerably,” Panda added.

With respect to raising more job opportunities, he said “we will be setting up more technology centers.”

Apart from the existing 18 centers, we have 15 more coming up that picks people who are school drop outs to people who are highly qualified professionals. We expect this to generate interesting results and to provide more employment, Panda added.

The conclave will also have a separate session for about 800 young entrepreneurs and women, who are planning to set up their own businesses.

The purpose of the conclave is to encourage dialogue and partnership among various stakeholders of MSME and promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
