Stressing on the importance to have a more conducive ecosystem for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country, DC MSME Ram Mohan Mishra said that growth and development can be achieved only if the easy ecosystem is ensured.

Mishra made the comment during the “Rebooting CGTMSE” event in the national capital.

Listing the major concerns surrounding the sector, Mishra acknowledged that the lack of easy credit is a bottleneck and the department is taking the concern with priority.

“The nature of money flow is such that it goes to where it is already available in abundance, we are committed at turning it to the sectors that need it, the MSMEs”, Mishra said.

He further said that the new structure of Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) is a step towards ensuring easy credit for the sector.

Urging the banks to take the task of making loans easy for MSMEs, Mishra said that for a unit the problem is not just limited to securing loans, once the unit is able to do so, it has the task focus on research, technology, marketing etc.

“While on one hand with the advancement in the Digital era, we have made the procedure of loan sanction digital, at the same time it is important to make sure that the human emotions around it persists”, Mishra said. (KNN/DA)
