Social empowerment only possible by supporting MSMEs: P P Chaudhary

Voicing support for the sector, P. P. Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for the Law and Justice and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs said that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have to be upheld in order to realise social empowerment in the country.

He made the following remarks during the National summit on Corporate Social  Responsibility , organized by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).

Corporate are playing crucial role in supporting the underprivileged sections of the society, he further said

He appreciated the work of corporates in the field of CSR. He said though, the CSR rules were introduced in 2014, but  corporates have been working with enthusiasm  in this field prior to that.

He praised the government for the schemes like Swachh Bharat, mudra, Jhan Dhan Yojana, Awaas Yojan , skill India.

He added that the government’s vision of social empowerment of the country could only be realized by supporting MSMEs in country.
GST, banks recapitalization, and fiscal prudence would strengthen the economy and would led to social empowerment.

The Minister added that association, innovation and collaboration are three important parameters to enable industry to participate in the development process. (KNN/AG)
