Handloom exporters from India on a visit to Cambodia to study production techniques of handicrafts

New Delhi, May 20 (KNN) A high level delegation led by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Shantmanu along with prominent exporters from Moradabad, Agra, Khurja, Delhi and North Eastern Region are on a visit to Cambodia for understanding techniques of production of handicrafts.

The delegation will study various techniques of the innovative product development, infrastructure developed for the mass production and affiliation with the different design institutions, trade bodies for enhancement of mass production in the country.

The visit is also to explore the possibility of future joint ventures and synergize the strengths of each other. The delegation would be visiting the factories/units pertaining to production of ceramics, natural fibre products (Cane & Bamboo, Rattan, Grass, Palm Fibre, Water hyacinth etc.).

The delegation called upon ambassador, embassy of India in Cambodia, H.E. Manika Jain and discussed the purpose of the visit and way forward. They also visited different craft clusters to see the range of products being produced by the Cambodian manufacturers
