Budget 2019: Manesar MSMEs want govt to give incentives to small industries facing survival issues

New Delhi, Jan 16 (KNN) The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Manesar near Gurgaon in Haryana wants the government to come up with more incentives for the sector in the upcoming interim Budget.

Acknowledging that although it is an interim budget, the Manesar Industries Welfare Association (MIWA) still hopes that the Budget 2019 to be presented by Modi-led government on February 1, 2019 before the general elections should introduce some incentives for small and micro industries facing “survival issues”.

Talking to KNN India, Vice President of MIWA, Manmohan Giand, said “Government should come up with some incentives for small and micro industries in the upcoming budget 2019 as large number of small industries are facing survival issues.”

He said the people are getting out of industries and looking for other job opportunities because of non-friendly business environment and lack of incentives.

For the survival of small scale industries, it is necessary that government should come up with some incentives, he added.

Further, he recommended ease in credit norms as unavailability of finance is one of the major issues faced by the SMEs.

Gaind said “Though government has taken various measures to bring more credit in the bucket of MSMEs but they are half-hearted. Even banks are not cooperative enough.”

The Budget to be presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on February 1 is an interim Budget. The budget session is scheduled to begin on January 31 and will culminate on February 13. (KNN Bureau)
