Budget 2019: Reduce GST, increase employment are the key recommendations made by MSME exporters from UP

New Delhi, July 2 (KNN) The primary changes necessary for the exporters are mainly to reduce the tax slab on Goods & Services Tax (GST), said Deep Shankar Vyas, President of Eastern U. P. Exporters Association (EUPEA).

Sharing expectations on Budget 2019, Vyas told KNN India “These exporters have a lot of expectations from the government of India and they want the government to pay special attention on the exporters.”

He stated that the increase of tax slab in GST have a lot of disparities and sooner or later it will create a problem for the government. For these industries the government is charging a GST of 18% which may lead to downfall.

The industries want the government to reduce the tax slab on GST from 18% to 5% which will overall benefit the industry and allow them to flourish in a market where there is excessive competition.

One of the most important issue which should be taken care of by the government is that of employment, shared Vyas.

“Employment for today’s generation is very important otherwise in later years it will become very difficult to control the youth”, he added.

He also said that in order to increase employment there should be adequate revenue.

“We as exporters are earning for our country but in return, we are given no benefits. There were no taxes on export then why are the exporters made to pay them”, he pointed.  (KNN/LM)
