Gurugram, Nov 15 (KNN) The District Industries Centre (DIC) of Gurugram is organizing a Vendor Meet for Haryana MSMEs focused on Auto & Light Engineering sector.

The Vendor Meet will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on November 30, 2018 at The Umrao in Gurugram. Leading Public Centre Unit’s like Power Grid, NSIC, SAIL and BHEL along with EEPC are facilitating the Vendor Meet.

The meet is being held as a part of DIC’s vendor development track under the Haryana MSME ecosystem project.

PSUs like IOCL, ONGC, NTPC etc are also likely to participate in the vendor meet.

The participating PSUs have already been working on the agenda of economic growth and development of MSMEs across the country. In order to establish market linkages between the Anchor/ PSUs and the MSMEs involved in the manufacturing of auto component and light engineering sector this vendor meet is being conducted, DIC said.

One of the key objectives of the vendor campaign is to cover major stakeholders in the MSME ecosystem (MSMEs, industry associations, anchors, tier-1 suppliers, OEMs, government agencies)  to address both demand and supply side expectations.

Through the vendor meet, it is also envisaged to seek views of PSU buyers on their expectations from vendors, supply chain issues of MSME vendors and the future of auto component /light engineering procurement.

According to DIC, the Vendor Meet will play an important role in bridging the gaps between anchor and vendor units and facilitate matchmaking among them. (KNN Bureau)
