FISME takes up issue of irregularities in e-auction & allotment of industrial plots by HSIIDC with Haryana CM

New Delhi, June 17 (KNN) The Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), a national network of more than 740 MSME associations, has written a letter to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lall regarding irregularities in e-auction & allotment of industrial plots by HSIIDC.

FISME said with the Unlock 1.0, economic activities are slowly getting revived in the Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) has started process of allotting/ auctioning the industrial plots at several locations.

FISME President Animesh Saxena, who wrote the letter to CM, said, “In the recent advertisement for e-auction of plots at Faridabad and Sonipat (last date 20th June 2020)  HSIIDC has not disclosed the number of plots at each location. It is widely feared that this information is being deliberately suppressed to artificially jack-up prices.”

He further highlighted that MSME associations allege that firstly, if industrial development is the objective of HSIIDC, instead of allotment to genuine entrepreneurs (as was done in case of initial allotment of plots in IMT, Faridabad ), auction process is adopted to rake in profits.

Further, instead of a fixed time window for e-auction, period of auction is extended to allow more speculators and push out genuine entrepreneurs from buying the land at affordable price.

Therefore, the whole process not only does appear unfair and unethical but detrimental to development of industrialization, said FISME President adding that expensive industrial space makes industrial unviable.

FISME has requested the Haryana CM to order a review of process of allotment through e-auction and if at all it is unavoidable all information should be shared with customers.

“We further request you to instruct the HSIIDC to offer all the available plots in one go. In fact Faridabad has a lot of MSMEs in unauthorized areas. HSIIDC should give preference to the units running in unauthorized areas, units running on rent in Faridabad and all the existing plot holders, who are already running their industries,” he said.
