Haryana invites MSMEs to file cases against buyers delaying payment due to them beyond 45 days as per MSMED Act

Gurugram, Sept 14 (KNN) With a view to help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to recover their delayed payment stuck beyond 45 days with the buyers, Haryana Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC) has invited registered MSMEs to file cases against them.

In a notification, the Haryana MSEFC said that MSMEs established in state of Haryana, who have filed Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum may make reference to Haryana Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council for recovery of their delayed payment beyond 45 days.

Calling it a good move, Manesar Industries Welfare Association (MIWA), Vice President, Manmohan Gaind told KNN India that though it will be little difficult for MSMEs to go against their buyers but this move will help MSMEs recover their dues from the buyers who are well placed and don’t consider paying MSMEs priority.

He further informed that Haryana MSEFC had organized seminars in this regard with different associations to make all aware about this act and how easy it is to actually enforce it.

“It will act as a deterrent for people to delay payments to MSMEs”, he added

The council facilitates the MSMEs for recovery of their delayed payment from buyer located anywhere in India under Chapter-V of the Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006.

The Council invites such enterprise to file their claim application on https://samadhaan.msme.gov.in/MyMsme/MSEFC/MSEFC_Welcome.aspx  along with copy of purchase orders and copy of bills.

MSMEs can also contact their respective District Industries Centre or Director of Industries and Commerce, Haryana, Chandigarh in this regard.
