MCCIA and GIZ Information and Innovation Cell inaugurated in Pune

Pune, Feb 15 (KNN) Under the ambit of Indo-German MSME Innovation Project, Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) - Information and Innovation Facilitation Cell (IIFC) was inaugurated today.

Mandeep Kaur, Joint Development Commissioner, Office of DC-MSME inaugurated the IIFC at an event titled ‘Finance for MSME - One Stop Solution for MSME Finance’.

The event was organized by the MCCIA to serve as a single destination for availing all types of MSME loan products offered by multiple banks.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaur said “Skilling is an area that needs to be focused on by MSMEs. Once you master the skill, getting finance will not be a problem."

She emphasized that onus is on the MSME industry to come forward & to utilize the various schemes proposed by Ministry of MSME.

She requested the entrepreneurs, MSME officials and other MSME associations presented in the event to channelize the energies in form of clusters and groups and start demanding your needs and requirement.

She said “Ministry of MSME is there to meet your demand through our existing schemes and by bringing out other new schemes.”

President of MCCIA, Pradeep Bhargava advised MSMEs to be diligent, to think big, to take professional help when required and to rally around each other.

Addressing the gathering, Project Director of GIZ, Chaman Lal Dhanda said that innovation will play a key role in the coming years for MSME industry.”

He said “Survival of MSME is more on whether we are taking the trajectory/path of innovation or we are using our knowledge of the past and then slowly getting down into our organization rather than coming up as a shining star.”

During the open hour session, Government Officials explained various initiatives, schemes implemented by Ministry of MSME for cluster development, innovation, and for skill upgrade.

MCCIA, which has been playing a significant role in accelerating the industrial and economic development of the Pune region for more than eight decades now, invited various Public and Private Sector banks to participate in this event. (KNN Bureau)
