Ministry of MSME collaborating with innovators to help technology reach rural enterprises: Giriraj Singh

New Delhi, Dec 14 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is collaborating with innovators in order to bring technology intervention in rural areas, said Giriraj Singh, Minister of State for MSMEs.

Talking to KNN India, Singh on the sidelines of ‘Social Enterprises Conclave 2018’, he said “We need technology in rural areas but according to their requirements/needs.”

Singh cited example of Solar Charkha to explain how the technology is being linked with it by involving different innovations and even artificial intelligence.

On providing marketing platform to women entrepreneurs, the Minister said that Udyami Sakhi portal has been launched for the support of women entrepreneurs in India.

The portal provides assistance through its platform for entrepreneurship learning tools, incubation facility, training programs for fund raising, providing mentors, provide market survey facility and technical assistance.

Besides, the Ministry of MSME is working more to link women entrepreneurs with different marketing platforms, he added. (KNN Bureau) WATCH VIDEO
