Workshop on digitalization organized for MSMEs by Siemens Industry Software India in association with GIZ, MIA

Mohali, Feb 17 (KNN) Mohali Industries Association and GIZ MSME INNO Project organized a workshop on Digitalization scope for MSMEs and its effect in the Indian MSME Sector by SIEMENS Industry Software India at MIA Bhawan.

GIZ under its MSME INNO Project in Association with Siemens Industry Software India is organizing a series of workshops across the selected industrial clusters in India and MIA is one of the selected BMO by GIZ India.

The industry is right on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution. Automation is being followed by the digitalization of production. The goal: an increase of productivity, efficiency, speed, and quality, resulting in higher competitiveness for companies on their way to the future of industry. Siemens comprehensive offering for automation technology and the digitalization of production is the key.

During the workshop in-depth information was given on the way to digitalization of production and the various verticals offered by Siemens.

SMB manufacturing organizations need a holistic automation solution covering Industry 4.0 requirements based on Digitalization. Manufacturers are better equipped to initiate or respond to disruptive innovation trends when their processes are fully digitalized.

The Digital Enterprise enables companies of every sector to integrate and digitablize their business processes. Siemen' offerings comprise of product design, production planning or process and plant design, production engineering or engineering and commissioning.

Companies can start with digitalization at any step of their value chain. Another service which has been started by Siemens is SFS (Siemens Financial Services) through which industries can avail loan for purchase of machinery without any collateral against their existing machinery.

The program was well attended by members of the Association. Yogesh Sagar, President, Jagdeep SIngh, Jt.Finance Secretary, Iqbal Singh, Joint Secretary and Hari Om Verma, Chairman, Technology Upgradation Committee of MIA thanked the Siemens officials for the excellent presentation.
