CAIT welcomes traders' pension scheme launched by PM

New Delhi, Sep 13 (KNN) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has welcomed the National Pension Scheme for Traders and Self Entrepreneurs launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CAIT National President BC Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal while welcoming the launching on Thursday said that it would provide social security to small traders who are real revenue earners for the government having no remuneration.

The pension scheme will benefit about 3 crore traders in the Country.

Bhartia and Khandelwal has also urged the Prime Minister that so far the scheme is available for traders upto age of 40 years.

‘’It will be appreciated if traders between the age of 41 to 55 years may also be bring under the ambit of the scheme may be on a little higher premium basis,’’ they urged.

Both Bhartia and Khandelwal said that it is for the first time in the Country that Government will be giving pension to traders. It was a long pending demand of CAIT. It speaks the approach of Prime Minister and the Government towards upliftment of traders in the Country.
